Ep. 40: Compassionately Bri reflects on creating the podcast and shares her own body image journey

This Memorial Day, Bri comes in more vulnerability onto the podcast she created. She reflects back on the 10 months of Compassionately You, the mission behind it, how it’s changed her, and how it morphed into adding more services to help others.

Next, she opens up about her own body image journey and describes her rare syndrome, Beckwith Weidemann, from birth to 18 years old. She adds some humor in because life needs both that open, vulnerable elements with a bit a humor to keep things light. She wanted to be more vulnerable with her own body image journey because both Compassionately Bri and Better Body Image were formed due to her own struggles with her body and her own self-confidence and self-compassion.

She mentions how there are ups and downs of self-confidence, especially when we are in the midst of personal growth and perseverance. She also mentions this summer she is debuting a free 5-day self-confidence challenge. The challenge starts on June 3 and runs through 7. You can participate anywhere you are! It’s completely digital, so you can be involved remotely. Also, it only takes 5 minutes each day. Bri loves making things easy to put into your day.

The
challenge will focus on reflecting and affirming:

  1. Who we are and always have been

  2. What are our priorities are in this season of life

  3. Feeling confident in both the 2 listed above to be more free in who we are and our lifestyle
